1948  Bawling her head off what seemed like all the time after  mum got home from the hospital. 
1949  Me watering her pram to make her grow (thankfully mum ran to her rescue)
1950  Saying good-night to the red light on the Trimingham radar tower outside the bedroom window
1953  Dressing up for a fancy dress party in Chingford to celebrate the coronation.
1953- Holding her hand while she skipped all the way to school
1958? Teaching her dolls, arranged like a schoolroom
1959? Collecting wild flowers, learning the botanical names and sharing knowledge with Joy next door (A few years younger)

Joy Sired (Next-door neighbour)
Late fifties - ?  She was always bossing me around.   She would set up school in our garage, she was the teacher and I was the pupil.  My mum said she would always be a teacher.  She was always telling me about nature, flowers & birds. She would say "Lets go down the pits (gravel pits behind our houses) but dont tell your mum! (She would only worry).
